This fantastic tour will give guests a flavour of old Plantation style living with some captivating insights into Barbados' history, as well as a beautiful scenic drive along the stunning West Coast, the East Coast and across the centre of the island with its lush landscapes and on to the enchanting Hunte's Gardens. The first stop on this tour is St. Nicholas Abbey, with its rich and fascinating history. The great house itself was built in the 1600's and is furnished much as it was over 350 years ago with great Jacobean architectural features. Guests will also be invited to view a film made in 1935, showing sugar plantation, windmills turning and Bridgetown scenery. Behind the mansion is the rum & sugar museum, housing artefacts from the Plantation's history, including slave records and ledgers. Here you will find St. Nicholas Abbey Rum, sugar products and souvenirs. Visitors are invited to try a complimentary rum punch or fruit juice at the Terrace Cafe while overlooking the beautiful tropical gullies.

Just a few minutes away, the tour will stop for photos at Cherry Tree Hill with a spectacular view of the East Coast. On leaving Cherry Tree Hill, it continues on to the rugged and breathtaking East Coast Road and from there further on through the country side to Hunte's Gardens, where thousands of beautiful plants are displayed in a spectacular tropical setting. A meandering path takes you through the gardens, with an array of sculptures and hidden treasures where an enchanting experience awaits you!
