Passengers
arriving on chartered flights are transferred directly from
the aircraft to the ship’s gangway. Departing passengers
are pre-checked on board and are transferred from the gangway
of the ship to the airport, where they go directly to the
departure lounge without a counter check-in.
Baggage
in both instances is containerized and bonded at all times.
Our
cost, inclusive of air-conditioned coach transfers, not
filled beyond 85 % of passenger capacity, containers for
baggage, porterage from the container to the airline handling
agent and from the aircraft to the container, customs guards
to escort the baggage and remain with it at all times whilst
it is on the ground, co-ordination with the airline handling
agents, security, immigration, police, customs, the health
authorities, the airport and port officials, all service
providers and the ship is U.S. $ 24.00 per person each
way.
Baggage between the ship and the container and vice versa
must be handled by the unionized port workers. Extra charges
will depend on times; hours and manpower needed and will
be billed additionally at cost.
We
also arrange extended transfers and mini tours to allow
time for cleaning and preparation of the ship.
We
are experienced in “crisis management”, as aircraft
are not always on schedule and plans have to b
e changed
with very short notice and sometimes no notice at all.
